With short breaks it has been on since the 70s, and since its reactivation in early 2000s, the festival again joined the prestigious group of the most valued jazz events in Poland. It has got a distinct program, whose main advantage is that it avoids cheap popular music that uses the label of jazz and that it's open to new forms that often enhance jazz with electronics, contemporary chamber music or rock.
